Years of Perestroika and the disorder of manufacture which has followed it have reflected in activity of many enterprises. Giants of the industry fell down in a precipice. Very few people could adapt for new market conditions. Novogorlovsky engineering plant also had a hard time. They didn't master new kinds of production, didn't use new technologies, did not search for partners, the markets were not won. Vyacheslav Pavlovich Bragin became a new director of the plant, in spite of all difficulties. As a result of the competent and weighed policy of his team today Novogorlovsky engineering plant is a modern enterprise meeting high requirements of the organisation of manufacture and business administration. Production made by the plant is the one of the most demanded among similar production, the plant participates in all profile exhibitions, has many diplomas and awards, and the main thing it has a recognition of the main consumers — miners. Our correspondent talks to the director-chairman of board of directors of Novogorlovsky engineering plant, Cand.Econ.Sci. Vyacheslav Bragin. — Tell, at the expense of what your collective managed to be steady on its feet?
— As a whole today the new technics and the modern equipment is necessary for the coal industry of Donbass and Ukraine. Trying to go with the times, we together with scientists have developed and produced the modern mine machinery which are not conceding to the leading world manufacturers of the similar technics. In modernisation plans our efforts are directed on creation of hi-tech gas-drainage boring rigs and energy saving equipment. It allows us to provide a consumer with the necessary technics meeting the advanced requirements. Except new kinds of products, we have increased output of already proved to be good mine loaders and boring mine rock-drilling machines for 20-30 percents. — How wide are your market communications in the world of a high competition?
— The geography of the our production marketing is constantly extends. Today it is known not only in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, but also far abroad. The technics of Novogorlovsky engineering plant is not worse that German ones, and costs twice more cheaply, that allows us to compete successfuly in the market. For today we have completely superseded the German manufacturer and we advance the Russian. Business is not only in an ideal combination «price-quality», the great importance has a mentality of our consumer. He has got used to the domestic parts. In the quality and service sphere we are also in advance our competitors. It is normal, when miners of Donbass work with the domestic equipment. Besides, we consider all remarks and wishes of our clients, because without a feedback there can not be an effective cooperation. — The qualified personnel absence problem still faced by the manufacturers. How you solve this problem?
— It's true, the psychology of people has been changed. Everyone wants to work in a trade and commerce sphere. Top-class experts, who worked in the late nineties, keep on working today. Veterans in many respects gain us. But it can not be this way long time. The company management should give the chance to the young wokers. We hire educated young men who share our approaches to manufacturing process. Letting out serious, modern and, the main thing, the demanded equipment, the big hopes we assign to experts with a technical education. It is important to know mechanics, to be able to read drawings, to own modern information technologies. But we accept not only graduates of high schools, we are glad to the children who have finished (and even yet not finished) schools. For them we have equipped on last word of technics an educational class, and also a number of privileges: we pay journey, we give interest-free loans. Besides, the factory has arrangements with schools, we look for in advance and we prepare for ourselves the children interested in the technician. — Do mechanical engineers help a city?
— We are patriots and respond with pleasure to all city initiatives and we participate in many charitable actions. The plant helps kindergartens, schools, hospitals, also repairs roads. Last year we transferred to a city 350 thousand hryvnas for a building of a miniboiler-house, and 120 thousand hryvnas for roads repair works. We remember our war veterans and veterans of work, we always congratulate them and never deny assistance to them. — You named some problems, can you mark out the main ones?
